Positioning Fractions on the numberline

Walt: position fractions on the number line.

In this game I have to know the order and size of fractions on the number line. It was challenging at first, until I got the hang of it. I got 3 right and 2 wrong. As I played the game, the fractions were difficult to position on the number line. To get 100% I would like to practise more and more. I would want to do more challenging examples of positioning fractions on the number line. Next I would like to learn how to position improper fractions on the number line.

Comparing Fractions

Walt: compare fractions.

In this game I had to compare fractions. I already know how to compare fractions, but when I did this activity it was confusing. I didn’t get the point of the game and I didn’t know what the arrows were for. So next time I play, I hope I would be able to do this activity.

Fraction Game - Addition

Walt: to add fractions.

In this game I had to add factions. It was really easy to do because all I did was add the numerators. When I did this game, it was really hard to get the fruits, because other fruits would block it. So that was the challenging thing to do. But after all I got 18 right. Next I would like to learn more about equivalent fractions.

Decimals Revision

Walt: solve problems in groups.

In this game I am adding decimals and fractions. At first this game was easy, but as I went along it started to get challenging. The strategy I used was to convert 1/4 into a decimal, which is 0.25. Then I added 8.5 and 0.25 together, and that gave me a total sum of 8.75. Next I would like to learn how to multiply decimals.

Probably a Favourite

Walt: solve problems in statistics.

In this game it was really easy. All you needed to do was to try and the same fraction. Once you have finished it will show you a drawing. Click on any tile and a fraction will appear. Try and remember where the fractions are. The challenging part of this for me was to remember the  places where the fractions were. I would really like Mrs Ramkolowan to give me more work on two way steam and leaf graphs. So I can get the hang of setting it out.

Proper Fractions

This game was really challenging. It was challenging for me because I have to try and get the nest in the right position for the egg to go in. To be honest it was hard to get the right answer in that amount of time. I would really like Mrs Ramkolowan to give me homework on this particular part of maths.

Identifying Fractions

Walt: find fractions of a set.

In this game you have to read the message on top of the screen and you have to find the shape that says the right fraction. Once you have found the shape that says your faction, you select the shapes and you will get your answer. This game was really easy for me. It was because I had learnt my fractions. I would really like Mrs Ramkolowan to teach me how to add mixed fractions. This would be great to practise everyday.
