Reflection, Rotation and Translation

In this game is was really challenging at first. I didn’t get what translated means. So I played it a couple of times and got the hang of it. I tried really hard figuring out what one to choose when four shapes came up. I will be sure to get it right the next time.

My Reflection for Term 1

Walt: reflect on my learning.

During this term I think I did good in my reading comprehension and my Maths test. I think that if I work harder on my subjects I will get much more higher results.

In the reading test I got 3P. My strengths in reading comprehension is knowing different languages poetry and in figurative speeches, to discuss and to identify different part of speech and to predict possible outcomes.   I need to work harder on finding the main ideas of stories and read for understanding.Next term I will try to do my best at reading. I hope to be above the National Standards.

My level in Number and Measurement was a 3B. I think that I didn’t do well in my Number and Measurement. I did well in  to explain the meaning and powers of whole numbers and  using mathematical symbols. I need help with  patterns and  rules. To use a story to solve problems with a combination. Next term I plan to do my homework.

My level in Geometry and Statistics is 3P. I’m a little surprised that I have that result. My strengths in geometry and statistics are to describe the features of 2D and 3D objects using the language of geometry. I need to improve the explanation of the reflection or rotational symmetry of an object and to predict likelihood of outcomes based on set of observations. If I catch up on my attendance I will get a fantastic result. Next term I will try to set my goals and I will do better in my Geometry and Statistics. I should work harder so I can be above the  the National standards.

My goal for Term 2 is to understand difficult words in Reading. To know the Numbering and the Measurements in word problems and to learn Geometry and Statistics in my maths. I promise to keep the National Standards in mind during the holidays.

Netbook Reflection 2012

At the beginning of Term 2 I felt really excited when I was getting my netbook. The netbook has been very handy to me because we can play on the internet. The netbook encourages me to learn more because it lets me learn from my mistakes.

The netbook is like having $10.00 each day to me. Having the netbook for the first term is was really scary because I was afraid if someone will drop it. But now I'm getting use to my netbook. The netbook is more easier to type with instead of writing and rubbing out and sharpening your pencil. It is more easier for me to understand.

The annoying stuff about my netbook is the wireless connection. Even though you click the wireless button a thousand times it still won't work, so that is really annoying. On my netbook there is a distraction, it's the games and the YouTube. Some people were off task because their netbook was a distraction. Room11 always wanted to play on their netbook, because they wanted to play on games or listen to music. To me I thought it was an addiction.

The most interesting thing about my netbook is that you get to chat to your friends. The netbook has been an interesting gadget because we can type, we can search and we can talk to our friends. But the most interest thing about my netbook is we can Learn, Create, Share. I love my netbook more than family. My netbook is the most interesting thing that I ever had.

My goals that I need to earn next year is to take care of my netbook and to figure out things myself.
