The Values of Sport

In sports, there are a lot of values but four words will mean a lot to others, or even athletes. So I’m going to tell you about the four words that mean a lot in the Commonwealth Games.

Teamwork
Team players are always good to have in a team. Only because their is a higher chance of winning more. You can’t win without support on your side, so that is why it is good to have a team by your side. Teamwork, can help you learn new skills, it could also encourage you to win more and you would be able to talk to someone when you are need. The best thing in teamwork, would have to be co-operation. Co-operation would help the team to bond with each other and to have faith in each other.

Excellence
Doing your best in sports, is a good thing to do. Good acts would help you win and to have faith in yourself. Setting your goals in something would be a great thing to do, because you can’t expect something without planning. Respecting others in competition would have to be something to always remember. So treat others the way you would like to be treated.

Excitement
Playing sports is a nail biting excitement. Laughter flying across the field, even tears. Joyful noises are always to be heard. Athletes are showing off their skills and fans are screaming their names. They’re providing entertainment for your eyes. The adrenaline rising and rising, sensational chants. Fantastic athletes, it’s just a mind blowing experience.

Fair Play
Being fair in sports is something that is always needed. Playing a game without fairness, will always be an upset game. People would start to walk away and there won’t any more fun. So that is why fairness is always needed. Being fair to others and the rules of the game, would lead to a successful game. So it’s always too good to play fair and to accept the consequences of losing. There will always be a chance of looking back and to correct the mistake you made.

Medals and awards have been given to many athletes for years. They have been rewarded for their fantastic play in sports.

13 ways of showing half

Walt: make 13 ways of showing half.

In this game I had to show 13 way of making half. It was easy because all I did was make a half that I already did, then take away one and then add one. The challenging part was to make different halves. Next I would like to learn how to make 20 ways of showing half.

Types of News

In this graph here we have types of news. The types of news in this graph is Good, Bad, Mixed and Neutral. Mrs Ramkolowan gave us a sheet that we had to mark. It was either G (good), B (bad), M (mixed) and N (neutral). The most marked that Tainah and I did was Bad, Mixed and Neutral. The thing that I liked in this topic was choosing what graph I wanted. It was pretty hard typing in the Y title and the X title. So I asked Alisi if she can help, and she did.

Character Study - Queen of the Barn

Alan is a very interesting character in this story. He has a lot of qualities of himself. That is why I chose Alan.

1. Alan is a caring character. Alan is caring boy because he cared for his pet Daisy. He cared for her because she was ran over. She flew by the drain and her leg was a mess. So he ran to her and picked her up with jacket under Daisy.

2.  Alan is a very very hard worker. He is a hard worker because he worked for a part time job. He did the paper run. Every time he did the paper run he would earn 20 dollars from his parents. With that money he would buy clothes. Then with the leftover money he would saves it to buy himself a radio - controlled plane.

3. Alan takes responsibilities. He took a big responsibility when his cat entered an accident. Without Alan telling his parents he took Daisy to the vet straight away. He had his own money that he saved up.

4. Alan is always focused. He is focusing on saving money to buy him a radio - controlled plane and he is not depending on his parents to buy his own things. Plus is he focused on Daisy checking on her every week.

That is why Alan is very interesting. Alan is my favourite character in the story - Queen of the Barn. Only if I can read this story all over again and again.
