LCM

In this game I am practising my least common multiples. It was easy for me, because I know my tables. All you need to do, is to find what multiple is common in the 2 times tables and the 10 time tables. So the common multiple out of 10 and 2 is, 10. Next, I would love to learn the rules of divisibility.  

Natasha Shackleton

Walt: create art by studying Natasha Shackleton.

Room 11 studied a New Zealand artist, Natasha Shackleton. We were inspired by her drawing and paintings. In her paintings she uses any medium. She draws anything from landscapes to vehicles and many styles from cartoon realism. Natasha Shackleton, is also a tattooist. She is always passionate about art and creativity. Natasha Shackleton’s paintings are done at home. She inspired us so much that we created a drawing of our own. We used ideas from her paintings and drawings.

Learn Create Share

Early this week Room 11 shared their e book with room 8. I shared my eBook with Joshua. He struggled just a bit, so he had to read after me. After he was comfortable, he read it all by himself. He sounded out the words that were difficult for him. Sometimes he would even ask for my help. Learning Creating and Sharing is an easy thing to do. So I think everyone should do it.

Chef - Sumdog

In this game I am practising my decimals. It was easy for me because the decimal for 20% was 0.2. I enjoyed playing it because it helps me to understand more. Next I would love to learn how to add and subtract negative and positive integers. In this game there will be a picture of a burger. Once you get the answer for the question right , you need try and make it.

Creeper - Sumdog

Here, in this game I am practising my half's. It wasn’t challenging for me because I have a lot of knowledge about halves. It’s just like division, you have to find a number add times it by two. Next, I would like to learn how to add and subtract negative and positive integers.

Grammar

Here, I am learning two words with the same meaning. It was easy for me because I had learnt my vocabulary. Some sentences and words were difficult as well. The words that were difficult were picture, pitcher, advise, advice and bass, base. Next I would like to learn how to pace comma in the right place.

Science Experiment

Boiling many kinds of vegetables can give you many colours of dyes. Which is really cool and fun. Who thought vegetables could give you colours of dyes. Today Room 11 had experimented dyes with vegetables. After doing all of that we have made five different colours from vegetables. It was fun to watch and maybe it would be fun to do.

Here we are boiling onion skins. We are boiling onion skins because we are learning how to make dye from vegetable. Doing this was very exciting because it was something new. I would like to do this again. The colour of the onion skin was really peculiar, because the colour of the dye was yellow. I thought it was going to come out as a light brown colour. Science is very weird.
